WHITTIER – A 23-year- old man was killed when his motorcycle collided with a car at 4:20 p.m. Saturday in the 11200 block of Washington Boulevard, police said. The motorcycle was westbound on Washington when the accident occurred, said Lt. Wyatt Powell of the Whittier Police Department. The motorcycle rider was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His identity was withheld pending the notification of his family. Camp registration begins June 5 LA MIRADA – Registration for Neff Park Summer Day Camp begins June 5 and is open to children entering first through seventh grade. The theme for this summer will be “Excellent Adventure.” Each week during the summer will have a different mini-theme and will include different games, crafts and special events. Excursions are also offered throughout the summer at an extra cost. The camp beginning June26 and ending Sept. 1 will be held at Neff Park, 14300 San Cristobal Drive.
